Araceli took several deep breaths and exhaled, slowly opening her eyes, faintly glow with sparks and fire. She was meditating on a new battle technique and had sought a quiet, and safe, place to learn and practice new moves without the danger of starting a fire in the wilderness. It had been nearly and hour since she started, but now she felt confident in her strength to use what she had just learned without bringing harm to herself. Though she certainly wished to test it out now she was quite affixed to the calm sounds around her. She had taken up an old crater as her little getaway from the gyms and dojos in her region, the stone bowl was partially filled with water from little streams on the rim, flowing freely from the nearby lake. There weren't too many of her kind at any given time, but most strived to be remembered as the few legends from and before their time. Araceli hiked up the incline, almost ready to go home, but stopping for some enjoyment of her surroundings. There had been some ancient event that split the life on her world into groups of bipedal and advanced versions of existing creatures and those to remain more animal-like. She sat upon a rock, admiring the flora extending in every direction, noting the few wild creatures wandering about their business. She often wondered if a wild version of her kind trained the same way to be remembered as a legend. It was nearly midday, and she needed to get back home, hoping to avoid an encounter with a water-type feeling threatened by her presence.
