Ire and Despair walking along the lonely road. gee, I suck at desriptions
STORY TIEM
The wanderer walked the one dusty path that cut through the wastes separating him and his destination. It wasn't clear why, but he always returned to Volk after his journeys. Perhaps it was because it reminded him of his previous home, what little he could remember of that. Constant fighting, growing up on a battlefield. That was his life then, and was still a part of him.
Glancing to the side, a lone piece of greenery caught his eye. It was rare to see vegetation in these parts, most of it was either destroyed or failed to grow. What stirred the wanderers interest further was the ball of pink resting beneath the tree. Silently approaching, he took a better look at the thing, a creature of some sort. It rested on the tree, its eyes looking blankly to some distant horizon, a trickle of water flowing from its eyes.
Sighing, the wanderer turned to walk away, this creature was none of his concern, if it chose to be out in the wastes, it was its own decision. Continuing back to the path, He hard the creature speak, obviously broken out of it's stupor. "W-who are you?" it asked, the voice it spoke in soft and light. The wanderer grunted. "None of your concern" he replied, his voice dangerously low.
The pink creature, a female, the wanderer mused, got to her feet and cautiously made her way over to him. She was unclothed, strangely so. A small twang of pity rung in his heart, enough to make him reconsider his earlier decision. "Do you have anywhere to go?" he asked, his voice slightly softer. The pink girl shook her head sullenly.
Thinking for a moment, the wanderer untied his red sash, wrapping it around the small girl in a makeshift dress. The girl looked at him with wide sad eyes, the flow of tears not yet subsided. Finishing his work, the wanderer turned to the girl once more. "I'm heading to Volk, if you come with me, I'll protect you until we can find you somewhere safe" He said, barely believing the words that were coming forth from his mouth.
The girl nodded to him, following when he began to walk. "Do you have a name?" the wanderer asked, looking to the horizon. "Despair.." The girl replied, hesitating slightly. Such a fitting name, he thought. "Do you have a name?" Despair asked, looking up at the wanderer. "No." he said calmly, a silence falling upon the pair as they made their way to the city of discord.
