I think that expression is more horror/surprize than pain. Peke usually goes toony, meaning pain is not likely, and even if it is, it's fleeting.

Knew it. I'd say it's more surprize than horror, as since Tanuki is commonly being turned into things, I doubt ANY transformation would actually horrify him. I'm pretty sure he'd DEFINITELY be surprized to be turning into a DRAGON of all things, though.

Another reason I don't think he'd be horrified about being turned into a dragon is because dragons aren't really scary; they're cool. :p
