...and I'm afraid we won't be seeing any more of them in the foreseeable future. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Actually, I didn't want to upload this page until I have at least one more new page in the back of my hand, but I haven't completed a single new one since last December, and I don't think I will be completing a new one any time soon. There are a couple of reasons for this, and I think I laid out some of them out a few months back already. There are other projects that demand my time and attention, most notably Pico. And to be brutally honest, I'm not exactly feeling "Jolson & Jones" these days. Nevermind the characters, I love them and even sketch them off the cuff every now and then. But boy is the story content a bummer at times, and I don't really enjoy spending my time in that universe. Which is kinda ironic, since the bits that do bum me out wouldn't be involved as much for the next 40 pages or so (Yep, I really have written it that far ahead, it's all in the notebooks!), but once the music box arc wraps up, I have to get back to it - and just the thought alone of doing that exhausts me. Oh harmupf.
Also, there are one or two storylines earlier in the already existing comic of which I think that I really didn't do them justice and therefore come across, to put it mildly, rather awkwardly. Later edits never really fixed them or only made them even worse, so... ugh. Every once in a while I even took the site offline for a couple of days (or longer), because I couldn't live with these pages being out there in the wild. Oh, what silly shenanigans.
Ahwell, I dunno. This series might or might not be back at some point. Or I'll just drop those sketches of those proposed (so far) remaining pages from my notebooks, of which there are roughly 50 or so, to anyone who wants them or whatever. (I only uploaded these two pages here on FA after all, because I don't have anything else to put up atm, and I don't want this month to float by without a single life sign.)
Nevertheless and either way: I don't regret having drawn the comic as far as went or see it as time wasted or anything. I learned a lot over the course of doing it, and there were a couple of darn good pages along the way, I think.
All I can say is: Wanna do a comic? Make sure that your very first project isn't really really long-term one! Better begin with something small! ;)
