behold, i have finished probably my most complex sketch yet! i dub this dragon, Etherna!
a short story to accompany this gentle giant. also I'm trying to write this at midnight, I can only do so well without sleep.
walking through the woods on a cool fall night, the usual path you take after work on Fridays. when amidst the darkness and quiet, you trip, and fall into the cool mud. getting up and looking back to see the root on which you expected to have tripped on, you find a print of a large creature instead.
panicked, you run, away from the print, but in desperation, you accidentally run away from your cottage. no time now, you must hide!
you lose our breath and are forced to stop. taking in deep breaths and calming for the moment, you take in your surroundings. it appears to be broken concrete and stone walls, like that of aztec construction. in awe you forget your fear and roam. the vines grew from the cracks as flowing green streams of leaves and wilted flowers, the cracked stones giving the shadows a contrast to the stone. then, you see a light up ahead, a soft blueish light illuminating what seemed to be a courtyard. then you felt it, like rumbling earthquakes. something big was nearby. you hide behind a wall, and peer through the cracks. you see it, a creature of myths, a dragon. regal and graceful. slow, thought out steps, as softly as possible, as if it tried to not break the stone beneath it. it was walking towards the glowing light. then it stopped, and turned towards your direction, like it smelled you scent. it spoke, into the dimly light shadows, "hello? who is there?"
you gulp, but you curiosity got the better of you. you walk out from behind the wall, and the creature puts on a mask of joy,
"oh? hello there, little one. lost?"
