Worldbuilding Stuff.
Some of the crests for the Imperial Family plus various noble families in Athenian culture. There are about 30 or so households recognized with this sort of high prestige, each of them having a family seal. I don't foresee myself designing all of them in a timely manner, but something I'll more or less play around with then I need stress relief.
Here are the first batch, which are some of the most important families in my storylines.
ZEMOTHE
"In Determination, Hope".
The Imperial Family. This is the household of the Athenian Emperor (or Empress) himself. Their lineage can be traced back over 12,000 years to the first recorded Reth'kaa (Athenian with supernatural abilities). Even through the generations, the supernatural abilities within this family are the most powerful among their species.
SEITO
"Deeds before Words"
Despite the fact that the Seito clan have been close to the Imperial Family for millennia and are highly respected by them, this household is often seen as the black sheep of the noble families. Seito are seen as being "rough around the edges" by some of the more posh households. (Note: Akihiro, the Emperor's blind bodyguard is a member of this family).
HIRATA
"Beyond the Skies We Rise"
The Hirata clan are often stereotyped as being fierce warriors, which in past generations is mostly true. This household is one of the most fiercely loyal to the Emperor and are more often than not one of the first to arms whenever there is any sort of threat to the Imperial Family.
T'ABEN
"From the Stars We Came, To the Stars We Rise"
The T'aben family are tried and true scientists who have contributed immense amounts of money and man hours to various scientific research. They have had such a huge hand in this that one of the universities in Trides has been renamed to T'Aben Universities in honor of the femily for the amount of money that they have donated towards the Uni.
MATOZOR
"Heaven's Light in the Darkness"
There's no way to sugar coat it... these guys are assholes. I needed a noble household that fit the "rich bastard" stereotype for story purposes and these guys are it. The house matriarch in particular is a very unpleasant lady.
