I don't really like telling people that I'm asexual and aromantic. It's not that I'm ashamed of it, or that I try to
hide it. I'm just afraid that people won't really understand, or that they might even think that asexuality isn't real.
I don't like hearing people say that I have to marry someday, and it hurts when they act like I'm a
failure if I can't do that, or persist that one day I'm going to change my mind.
Someday, maybe I'll fall in love with someone, and maybe I'll want to marry them. But it also might not happen, and
I would still be happy with my life if it didn't. It's not up to other people to be the judge of whether my life was
successful or not. So that's why I share that I am happy with being asexual and aromantic; because my happiness
is not dependent on what other people think it's supposed to be. Only I know what will make me happy.
And you shouldn't let other people tell you what makes you happy either.
