So this is the first art thing I have every really done with wood. It is cut out of a 9x12 piece of pine that is 1/2 inch thick. The design is 95% cut. just need to do some clean up around the ears and muzzle where the holes are. I got the design off of the internet somewhere, it was a free pattern I changed slightly to match what her dog looked like.
Tomorrow or Tuesday I am going to sand down everything and get rid of all the pencil lines and that dirty border, clean everything up. Then I was going to either paint a border or use some nice trim pieces and put them around the pic. I am also going to stain it and put a piece of felt behind the pic to make it stand out a bit.
In the future I was thinking of possibly commissioning these pieces if there was enough interest
