I've seen people making these little 'paper children' and I finally decided to try making my own. These are just two of a whole bunch I've made, my mate, 
and me. :3
I absolutely love making these! They're a lot of fun <3 I'll get more pics [and a scan of them all] up sometime.
I'm going to be taking commissions for these. $1.50 each, and that includes shipping them to you! =D Note me or leave a comment if you're interested!

As for the camera thing, cameras need "macro mode" for any shots closer than ~3 feet, and not all cameras actually have it. It can take the form of an extra lens to attach, or a change in the focus mode/internal lens alignment. Check your camera's documentation to see if it has it, and how to enable it; in macro mode, you should be able to take clear photos as close as 1 inch from the lens.
