Sometimes you make new friends in the fandom.
Sometimes you find out that people with whom you've been friends for ten years have been in the fandom as long as you have.
About two months ago, Darbor (Twitter: @DarborDragon) and I discovered our mutual furryness — just hours after I'd returned from FTM. After a lot of reminiscing (including that time when he drove me and other friends to the theater to see How to Train Your Dragon, lol) and discussions of mid-00s furrydom, he commissioned me to draw his first conbadge in preparation for his first con appearance (FWA 2019). Et voila!
I'm really happy with how it turned out!
