He bet that she couldn’t take a Grand Dragon by herself.
She wasn’t up for it at the start, “i don’t have to prove myself” she would say, striking a glare with her emerald green eyes.
But he knew her too well and he also knew that even her pride wasn’t immune to his teasing and, in the end, she accepted.
He was pretty wrong.
Actually, he knew that he was wrong since the start.
He perfectly knew that she was able to do it.
He stayed in silence for the whole fight, arms crossed on his chest, watching her fighting, dancing, spear in hand against the gaping jaws of the huge dragon and dodging its venomous fangs.
She reared back and she jumped.
As fast as she jumped she came down, like violent rain, like a meteor.
The spear sank into the skull of the beast, right between it’s eyes.
The dragon roared then fell on the grassy ground with a huge thud, the dragoon standing fierce on it’s head as the sun was setting between Popos Heights.
She smiled proudly, taking the point of one the Grand Dragon’s horns in her hand, helping herself keeping balanced on the huge fiend’s head.
He enjoyed every second of the battle, he would never admit it but he loved watching her fight, he loved to see her finally alive after the tiresome years that Burmecia “gifted” her after the end of their journey with Zidane.
She was back to herself, strong and confident, eyes like precious gems again, glimmering.
He smirked
“Hmpf, it seems that i owe you a good Ale”

First time wiriting something since high school and oh my god.
Sorry for the writing, english is not my first language and i’m no more used to this but i’ve done my best (i swear).
But i NEEDED to write down something about them.
This was hella fun to work with, i’ve tried to push my comfort zone so much but i’m happy of the final result.
Hope you like it!
