Old piece that Tumblr flagged. Not worth fighting, but people seemed to like it so I thought I'd upload it here.

"It's just definitely an adjustment is all I'm saying," Phoenix said.

"Adjustment" was an understatement. With his new workout regimen in full swing, Phoenix was still trying to get used to his new body. Gigantic muscles that dwarfed any bodybuilders, a chest that would look absurdly large even on the biggest of men, and most prevalently, a belly that resembled a beach ball so inflated that it was about to burst. He had been the talk of the town since his radical transformation began, and Phoenix was still trying to make heads or tails of it.

"I don't get it, Maya," Phoenix continued, pushing a finger into his belly and barely feeling any give. "I've been just working out like thirty minutes a day, that can't possibly be changing me this much. Or making me this hungry!"

"Oh hush," Maya said, snuggling herself into Phoenix's belly as best she could. "You look absolutely amazing."

"I'm not saying I don't," Phoenix said. "I'm pretty happy with the look. I'm just surprised! My personal trainer says he's never seen anything like it."

"Mmmmmhmmmmmm," Maya said, cuddling her cheek closer to Phoenix. "You're so warm."

Phoenix sighed. "Maya, I have to ask you something, and you have to promise me you'll tell the truth."

"Yes?"

"That protein powder you've been given me," Phoenix said. "Is that what's been causing this?"

Maya looked up at Phoenix, barely able to see his face past his bulbous belly.

"Yeah I'm a terrible liar, huh?" she said sheepishly.

"It's less that, and more the fact that you've had your hands over me from the moment I started growing," Phoenix said.

"It's a special Kurian powder, meant to both stimulate muscle growth and increase appetite," Maya said. "I just sprinkled a little in your protein powder as a joke! I thought it would be funny to see you get muscular quick. But apparently it's really, REALLY potent stuff, and... well, I kinda love you like this." Maya wrapped her arms as best as she could around Phoenix's massive figure. "So I just kinda kept going."

Phoenix leaned to the side—quite the feat, as it was difficult for him to shift position with a body so gigantic—and gave Maya a kiss on the forehead. "Well, I'm glad you did. I like this body."

"I'm so glad to hear it," Maya said. "Because I have plenty of that powder left."

Phoenix laughed. "Well... I'm starting to get hungry. How about you grab a few scoops, and we clean out the grocery store?"
