I don't post private works regarding certain characters here because this site's got a few people who just randomly will use them in pictures like oh gee, yeah, I need that.
Also it has no theft protection policy and I don't wanna play games with FA's content.
Plus it means traffic elsewhere, which is good. That's how Patreon crap gets nudged.

I haven't set up that angle yet, but that's what PMs and comments asking for a link are for. ;3
No, DA's watermark is easy to dispatch and a shoddy piece of garbage.
I meant the FA mods will ban you if you "call out" a thief. Happens all the time, if you say hey, don't buy from this person they stole it, here's the original, make a journal about how there's a thief going about, or simply speak their username publicly in a negative manner implying theft, the mods can and often do, ban you. This site allows the use of imagery from the internet(I could take someone's Dora fanart and put it on a cake for example) without persecution, it allows the reposting of images that are not the users(and I don't mean paid commissions). You can do a full 100% trace of someone else's work and it won't be taken down(there's a piece on here from around 2011 for me, it was traced and the artist had it on DA, DA took it down after the artist reported it, FA did not, I was very displeased they traced for a paid work). Not going to your gallery to see what is in it - I could take your artwork - put it on a poster, a cake(see above), a t-shirt, or anything else the character is wearing or the bg has, and FA would do nothing about it. This is all stuff I've seen and witnessed this site do. DA at least has some -albeit crappy- standards, but FA? This is the wild, no one running this site does shit about theft.

Been around here since around 2006, made an account 2008, and then watched it really hit bottom around 2013. I've seen them ban users from posting porn(a real thing), I've seen them remove comments on stolen art. I've seen some crazy stuff, but it reached its peak around I believe 2015 when I saw people's art heisted and used on commissioned art. There is nothing at all that stops me from hijacking screenshots, movie clips, other people's work, and using it as a shirt design. Which is a mess.
Depends on the piece. The more depth and detail into the piece, the more it's a bit more of a maybe. DA's watermark is easy to colour select and ease around. I used to have to do it with people who 'lost' the unwatermarked(you click edit and un-click watermark and boom, you have the file again). Personal watermarks work much better, I simply have never finalized one for myself. Perhaps one day.
