Did the maker finish the item by the expected date (ETA)?
YES - the ETA was accurate
Did you tell the maker about any issues you had?
Yes and no, I did mention the arms were not the length I had paid for and niter was the tail. But I said it in a very polite way and they said they would do it if I sent it back. I am VERY bad at confronting anyone with issues I have with them and because I am good at sewing and crafting I was able to fix alot of issues I had. But because I was so polite about it I dont think they thought they were serious?
I also mentioned the nose the first thing when I got her, and I didnt really get that much of a response other then a " Not sure how that happened " type of thing.
HEAD
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the head of the costume. If you are reviewing only a set of ears, your answers would also go in this section.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
She is somewhat comfy. She is a bit snug but thats alright. Her eyes however are lopsided, unless I have my head at an angle I cant see correctly. I also get the WORST tunnel vision Of any suit I have now EVER worn. You CAN NOT see out of both eyes at once they are too far apart. they are also put in at different depths into the foam. If I wear her for more then 30 mins without a break I will be VERY dizzy once I take off the head.
The tail I got was beyond short, from the tip of your finger tips to maybe your mid arm, just before the elbow, and was ROCK HARD completely stiff like a board.
The hand paws were a bit too tight, but I was able to make it work.
the Head however is VERY cool to wear, it has FANTASTIC ventilation! I NEVER get too overheated in that head.
the mouth is also perfect for needing a fast drink, I can easily put a water bottle or a straw without special length into the suit and re hydrate! She is a very functional suit and very good for hydration and air ventilation
however the foam her head is made up of feels very cheap and rips BEYOND easily! I have had to hot glue over and over and over again chunks that have fallen off over the years around her neck area On the first wear a piece ripped off her head and I was told to just continue to glue the pieces back on.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume piece looks from the outside.
When I got her she was stuffed and I DO MEAN STUFFED into a box that was FAR too small for her, the head took up all the room in the box and her muzzle TO THIS DAY has a kink in it from it being smashed against the wall of the box sideways.... the tail and paws were in the same box, and I really wish they had put her in a larger box, it was just way too small....
I LOVE her expression! She is a very sweet beautiful head she really is, I get compliments on her allot, and for very good reason, the eyes are easily the most beautiful suit eyes I have ever seen even to this day.
The air brushing on the face is good but the airbrushing on the tail when I had it, was not around the tail it was not like a circle around the tip of the tail it was done with a square stencil and was only on the TOP layer of the fur and very very thin and faint.
Her hair is cute as well, a very cute little tuft that I can put over one eye and I am actually glad I did not send her back for the more hair ( even though I paid extra for it ) She is perfect appearance wise when it comes to her hair,
her nose, her nose is a small resin nose and I DID mention this when I first got her that the resin under the top coat had CRACKED and what looked like slid under the top coat and it was not fully glued to her nose, and it was a weird tan orange discolor that is still seen today, her nose has always been horrible. I orders a replacement nose at a later date but it also wasn't correct.
she does match the reff sheet I gave her at the time, colors were a bit hard to get because of paint mixing but i completely understand that. But I enjoy them!
The fur she is made with is a kinda expensive teddy bear furr, that naturally yellows over time, and is NOT user friendly, it may have a nice aesthetic but it is almost impossible to maintain, the furr falls out very easily and is very hard to clean, I wasn't given ANY information on how to clean her, not a piece of paper, not a pamphlet nothing, I had to email and ask, which I was told to " spot clean with a tooth brush" and ok thats fine but this is a WHOLE head, you cant just spot clean an entire head unless its fully airbrushed.
( link to the fur used https://crscrafts.com/bear-supplies.....ear-white.html )
the expression is alright, however when I got her her mouth was sewn shut tightly, I cut the threads because she looked almost mummified like that, I also made my own teeth and tongue since she didn't come with a tongue, it was just black inside which looks horrible if the mouth is open.
the fur shaving is BEAUTIFUL and VERY WELL DONE! Its a fave feature of her, I think she has the BEST fur layout I have actually ever seen!
her ears in the wip were WAY too huge the first time around so I asked for a smaller size which I guess I got! they are actually WAY too small and I am always called a cat in suit
HANDS AND FEET
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the hands and feet of the costume.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
The hands are so cute and poofy! very fat little chubby paws and they are absolutely adorable. They were a tad tight when I first put them on but wearing them overtime stretched them a bit and now i have no issue with the size. they are cute! I cant pick up anything however haha! But thats ok!

Very stiff, and hard, it was ok but I hated it.

OVERALL SATISFACTION
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with the overall buying experience, including your interactions with the maker and the resulting final product. How was your concept art realized?
Not really? My reff sheet showed her with a longer muzzle then I got and I believe I asked for a larger one But didn't get it,
How well does everything fit together and match up?
When I had everything ( the tails sewing came a bit unraveled and since I hated it i never repaired it.) everything matched perfectly.
How easy was it to initially contact the maker for a quote?
easy! responded very fast.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take the maker to get back to you?
It came and went, it would vary, sometimes fast sometimes slow but I was never ignored.
How satisfied are you with the professionalism and customer service and of the maker?
She was very nice! I feel that sometimes she was annoyed but thats alright everyone has emotions
How satisfied are you with how long your project took to complete?
GOOD! I asked for RUSH completion as she offerd it and paid for it, and got her in a month.
Are you happy with the product you received?
I mean outside, she is beautiful, she really is. very unique look to her but its the inner workings that I have had issues with. Materials ext. and how she arrived ( smashed nose from a small box )
Describe your overall experience with this maker.
Overall? would I buy from her again? No.
I love how she made kita, she is very sweet and pretty, however Simply because of how polite I am I know its hard for someone to fix issues I have unless I tell them, wich I did tell them AT the time and was given short answers that I felt I was annoying her so I didn't tell her the rest.
Last year in april i asked for a replacement nose just because how ugly it is now with the cracks and how it has discolored the fur around the nose she said she was in japan and would be back in may, thats perfectly fine, come may I got back in touch and she began to make it, however it was constant set backs, either something wasn't shipped to her right or the colors wernt right or the mold didnt set correctly, and I honestly was very aggravated but stayed polite and just accepted it. I had told her I NEEDED the nose before a con, and I was told constant reasons as to why it was taking longer, so it took 3 months to make 1 tiny nose. that is completely ridiculous in my opinion and even when I got it, it had mold markings and wasn't shiney, it was matt when I asked for a nose just like the one I got but with a diff color.
I DID tell her now that I am older and better at voicing my opinion about things that really bothered me about her, ( vs how I said it when I first got her in emails ) and was told
"Oh no :'( I am so sorry to hear that! I can only suspect that my arm length was much shorter (I am a fairly short person). I was also pretty new back then (why I charged so little for a partial) and have since changed a lot of my methods, but if that does ever happen, please next time let me know right away. I would have happily fixed everything for you. :(
Ok, well, if you need help let me know. In the future, please reach out and talk to me, never had issues with other suits (you're actually the only person to date). But if you had issues you need to let me know. I would have helped as I care about these things and my commissioners (You!) "
But i did mention these things maybe not as severely as i did in april but they were mentioned and I dont think 900 is cheap for a partial But as an artist I understand you can value your work at what price you want, this is just my opinion only.
and being told im the only person with issues so far i just... I dont know it makes me feel guilty for having issues with it. I mean im sorry? Makes me feel comfy.
So no I dont recommend ordering from her and I will not be buying from her again, But she IS a nice person and the suit IS pretty.
I in NO WAY want this person attacked or reprimanded as I told them I dont want a refund or anything done to her. these are my own opinions and I respect this artist and their work.
These are just issues I had myself.
