I do want to let you know that I will still be referring to the "Mediverse" as "MLP Next Gen" in my posts. Mainly because I don't wanna go and change all of them and I want them uniform LMFAO.
I don't know if I'll ever get around to drawing/writing for my Nextgen but SPOILERS if I do lol

Amaris helps Broken Heart realize that how he's treating himself and his family isn't right, and helps him lear how to love himself. Meanwhile, without realizing it, Heart was helping him too. Amaris struggled a lot to love himself and had a lot of the same problems Luna did after being redeemed. Though he felt he knew exactly what he needed to do and could spout this advice to heart, he really couldn't impliment it in his life. Heart helped him by not only helping himself, but giving a good example of what Amaris should do. He also had some hidden magical talent that manifested it's self soon after he started feeling good about himself.
When Amaris thanks him for what he did to help him start to love himself better, Heart earned his cutie mark right then and there. They both were really excited afterwards lol.
Each one of the NGs I have for the Shiningdence family represents some form of love, and Broken Heart/Midnight Love's is self love. Loving yourself requires a balance of many different things, which is why I chose the scale lol.
