HEAD
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the head of the costume. If you are reviewing only a set of ears, your answers would also go in this section.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
The head is so uncomfortable as it is HUGE on me. It falls down on my head and the top of the hole for the inside of the muzzle slips down and hits my nose all the time. Unfortunately, I can either breathe in the suit and not see, or I can not breathe and see, as if I wear the suit properly (with the muzzle hole over my nose and mouth) the eyes are so high up I can't see, and if I want to see, I have to have the inside of the suit smashed up against my nose and nose bridge. I gave her my head measurements, so there is no reason for the head to be this massive. I am constantly pushing the head upwards.
It is lined neatly inside.
The vision would be great if the head fit properly as I can see very clearly out of the material used for the eyes and they are large.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume piece looks from the outside.
The head is cute from one angle (forward facing while pointing the head upwards so that her lower jaw is actually visible) but otherwise I feel I cannot get any expression out of the head. The eyes are flat set in the head and you cannot see her pupils from the side so that looks scary and morbid. Her snout is very downwards pointing causing it to look droopy.
The head is huge like i mentioned and the lower jaw is small, so when I wear her and want to be able to actually see in the head, the lower jaw is buried in the chest and invisible.
There is no padding in the back of the head at all nor a foam transition on the sides so the head is flat and looks awkward.
The white fur is all craft fur. It is rough, however I like the long fur on the cheeks a lot looks wise despite it being rough.
The shaving on the head is choppy and multiple razor marks and clumps of fur are visible especially up close and in selfies.
All markings look quite correct however and I am satisfied with how she translated them onto the suit. The eyes are also painted beautifully.
BODY
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the body of the costume.
If you are reviewing armsleeves or legs/pants that are seperate from a bodysuit, your answers would also go in this section.
(Appendages, such as hands, feet, tails, etc., are discussed later.) Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
The body does not fit me properly at all despite me sending a properly made DTD. The right shoulder is far too small and pulls down so far that my entire shoulder is exposed and the fursuit head neck doesn't cover it. It is so bad that a bandanna does not help either.
The left leg is extremely short (5 inches too short) and exposes my ankle. I have to constantly pull it down which is so hard in fursuit and in handpaws, and I have to shuffle walk to try and keep my angle as hidden as possible.
The arms are also very short and show my wrists. I have to refrain from performing or big motions in order to hide this, and even then my wrist on the right arm are exposed.
The torso is short and it pulls at my crotch which is another reason the legs are pretty short on me.
The body arrived absolutely full of holes before I even wore her. The spots on her back (the leaf markings) were handsewn and all falling out with giant holes- the stitching was weak. I understand spots will come out eventually and require repair as a fursuit maker myself, but out of the box seems unreasonable. There were also holes in the heart marking on her leg and 3-4 big holes where the light blue meets the white.
The crotch also busted two holes the very first time I wore her, and the only thing I did was walk around a con indoors completely upright at all times at a slow pace for 5 minutes. By the time I got back to my hotel, there were two big crotch holes.
I have to be extremely delicate with her as the white fur used for all of her body is cheap fun fur/craft fur and the backing is literally breaking apart. I have washed her only once in the time I've owned her between cons and she is falling apart.

I hate the digitigrade on the bodysuit. I paid for digi and received something closer to planti. I sent her examples of digi I liked as she requested and what I got turned out nothing like the examples.
The digi is so slim that it looks disproportionate to the entire suit/my body. Amina is much smaller than me and it looked fine on her, so she built the suit to her body and not mine. The thigh padding is literally two small 6x6 square pillows that are barely stuffed. The calf padding is sewn in stuffing and very thin.
I don't feel cute wearing her bodysuit at all unfortunately due to the disproportionate digi padding.
The craft fur (white fur on body) is all thin and the backing shows. Between the legs has completely worn down to the backing of the fur as the fur is so thin and cheap. The tail hole is extremely high up on the body and sits on my mid back.
No shaving work was done on the leaf markings on her back. I wish she had shaved them down just a little bit I guess.
The heart marking on my characters leg was put on the completely wrong side. She forgot to add it and rushed it last minute and I was not shown a photo of the WIP heart marking so I could not correct her until I discovered it when I got the suit. This bugs me as I'm very self conscious of the right side of my body and do not like having my picture taken from this side so the heart marking is always invisible.
As for the colours, Amina (head of PyropeCostumes) did not use the colours we agreed upon initially. I told her to please use navy or cobalt luxury shag fur for the dark blue on Jupiter, and she confirmed sending me pictures from the website. She then decided to use royal blue fur instead without telling me as I later found out when questioning her about the fur, as another commission she was doing at the time needed royal blue. While it looks fine, Amina should not modify colours agreed upon with the client and hope they won't notice.
HANDS AND FEET
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the hands and feet of the costume.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
The feet are huge on me. They are built on crocs at least 3 sizes too big. I gave her my shoe size as well. They are loud and squeaky when I walk and it is embarrassing. The strap on one of the feetpaws inside broke the first time I wore her feet. Inside the footpaw, the fur is tearing away from where it was glued onto the foam on the top of the feet.
The handpaws are okay, just big. They were lined with some sort of loose material which wasnt sewn into the fingers, so wearing them was difficult/impossible. I ended up cutting out the fabric at con out of frustration. There is just loose polyfil inside the finger tips. However after just a couple wears, there are already a ton of big holes in the handpaws between the fingers and on the sides. There are also tons of holes on the claws, they are giant and you can see the stuffing in the claws.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume pieces look from the outside.
The feet look fine, they are just blockier and not as close to digi feet as I would like.
The handpaws are really nice looking minus the giant holes, however there are a lot of pulled seams on the pawpads and where the fabric pulled from sewing too fast/not pinning properly, and one of the fingers on the handpaws is completely rotated to the side.
TAILS
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the tail(s) of the costume.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
The tail is awful. It is understuffed and crooked. It does not stand up straight when I wear it, it flops to the side and flips upside down. I thought this was because of how it was packaged in the box however upon inspecting it it is from poor sewing/craftsmanship. The loops to hold it on are giant fleece loops that have stretched out and I have already found holes in the base of my tail.
I have even tried sewing the tail to my suit body and it flops over because it is sewn so crookedly.
The tail falling over is pictured in the side view photo posted to this review.

If the tail actually stood up and was not crooked I would love it. I like that she left the bottom of the tail (the white part) long.
OVERALL SATISFACTION
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with the overall buying experience, including your interactions with the maker and the resulting final product. How was your concept art realized?
I had to correct her on the bodysuit markings as she did not do the scallops correctly. She also failed to put the heart marking on the correct side.
Other than that I believe she translated my ref onto the suit very well.
How well does everything fit together and match up?
It does not fit together well at all. The digi is awkward, my shoulders are exposed, my ankle is exposed, my wrist is exposed, the transition from digi leg to foot is awkward, and the back of the head is flat and does not flow with the suit.
On a smaller person these issues may be erased as the suit looked perfect on Amina (who is, as mentioned, a LOT smaller/shorter than me) but it looks horrible on me.
How easy was it to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Very easy, messaged her on FB.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take the maker to get back to you?
At first it was awesome, but it got worse and worse to the point where I would be ignored for days and weeks while the deadline was fast approaching. I commissioned PyropeCostumes only on the condition that my suit would 100% be completed for Furlandia in May and she gave me a hard/solid "yes." As it grew closer and closer to the deadline, she would ignore me more and more and leave me in the dark, worried. After many times of me telling her that I needed her communication to be better for a deadlined project, she would just say sorry and tell me she would improve but she never really would. Questions about specifics of the suit would be ignored as well. I would constantly be left on read and responses would be drawn out.
How satisfied are you with the professionalism and customer service and of the maker?
She was professional enough with this commission, however she would constantly ignore me when self imposed WIP deadlines were coming up and passing. Something EXTREMELY unprofessional was that when I told her that the inside of my characters ears were ivory, she would ignore that despite initially confirming she had ordered ivory fur for my commission. She tried to use brown fur instead. I asked her where the ivory was and she told me she had simply forgot.
I told her that was not OK as we confirmed the fur needed was ivory and
How satisfied are you with how long your project took to complete?
I am glad she completed my suit on time for Furlandia, however she pushed working on my suit off for so long that the suit was so rushed and poor quality when I got it that it is in an 100% unwearable state after taking it to two cons. This suit will not last me without some MAJOR refurbishment.
Amina constantly works out of her queue order despite 'not taking rush commissions' she accepted mine without informing anyone else on her queue.
She shipped my suit using ESTAFETA, a shipping company I have never worked with. The box arrived with my suit literally hanging OUT of it, her white fur visible as the bags were all cut up and the box was literally torn to pieces. There was no insurance on this which I was not aware of.
Are you happy with the product you received?
No. I wanted so badly to love this as it was my first ever custom fullsuit of my most beloved character, but after two cons it is unwearable. At $1700 for two wears, that's unacceptable. I paid for luxury shag and got craft fur. I paid for certain colours of fur and got different ones. I was body shamed by this maker and her friends publicly, and scared into keeping my mouth shut about the quality of this suit as the maker got her friends to harass another client who spoke out about the quality of her suit parts from PyropeCostumes.
Describe your overall experience with this maker.
I cannot recommend this maker.
You can easily find another maker with just as reasonable prices and receive quality 10x that of what I received from her.
No maker should talk behind their clients backs, and put out such poor quality work while claiming to be a professional, full time fursuit maker.
This suit is unwearable and I've sunk nearly $2000 dollars into it.
I previously wrote a positive review on this suit out of fear that I would be harassed by her white knights, but I will not stay silent any longer. I cannot recommend PyropeCostumes to anybody.
