Tyler is a wannabe jock who has tried many times to prove his athletic prowess by showing off at various sports (something that ends up in pain and humilliation for him). Tyler's wings were ripped out under mysterious reasons while he was in Juvie ,but so far he hasn't said a word about why it even happened, meaning that either he doesn't remember, or he doesn't want to talk about it. Tyler used to be in an alliance with Furball while in Juvie, they both were able to pull King out of his private classroom, and later on they met up with the Hazard bros.; Tyler had the idea of an all-or-nothing best 2 out of 3 Dodgeball game for the Silver (Diamond) Power Gem, he tried to take out Danny but missed, instead Cassius was the one who him (Tyler) out of the game in the first round. After the game was over Tyler felt ashamed of always getting eliminated so easily, but tried to keep a straight face about it, later (thanks to Danny) him and Furball were released from Juvie (with King dragged along with them), and they left without saying another word.
FRIENDSHIP WITH FURBALL
Tyler and furball actually started to become real friends after King broke the alliance during the scavanger hunt at Quantum Square's Hospital Center, they both started getting alon better while trying to find Violet and the Pink (Amesthyst) Power Gem, and they occasionally make just-for-fun fights like they did in Juvie.
RELATIONSHIP WITH IRIS
While in the future Tyler meets up with Iris the Cobra (one of the 3 Lost-in-Time Egyptians) and becomes quick friends with her, Tyler realizes that he feels weird around her and that this has never happened before when he was around some other girl. During the Futuristic Baseball game, Tyler was in charge of making the final home-run for the Travelers during the ninth inning to win the game against the Robotic team; he doesn't wish to go because of his lack of athlethic skills, and was about to drop out of the game until Iris told him that he cannot give up, that he has to belive that he can win, Iris also says that she belives in him to win the game and the Blue (Sapphire) Power Gem. In the end Tyler thought he had gotten 3 outs, but then he looked up and saw the baseball on the grass rolling away from the bases and heading to the outfield; with this Tyler ran as fast as he could, until he made it to home plate, the crowd had gone silent and Tyler had his eyes shut; when he opened them and looked at the home plate, the umpire yelled out "SAFE!!", then Travelers, the Crowd, and the Out-of-time Egyptians started cheering and whooping for Tyler's win, Tyler thought to himself that he had finally succeded at a sport, and it was all thanks to Iris's support, and as if on cue, Iris ran up to give a thight hufg to Tyler, and she also kissed him on the cheek for his victory, Tyler also hugged her back (even though he was still shaken by his surprise win, and the unexpected kiss), Tyler also noticed that Iris did not let go of him, even after the game was over; but he did not mind and actually rather enjoyed, Iris says that she knew he could do it, and then kisses his cheek again, Tyler says that if it weren't for her he wouldn't have won, Iris asked if he really thought so, Tyler replied that he KNEW so.
