I don't talk about my full name, or that there was ever a name before "Rhi". Sometimes, as a kid, family would call me Rhi Rhi which I hated, but I also didn't like my full name a lot. I went by Jade for awhile out of my love for Jade Harley but felt silly while doing it, so somewhere around 2014-2015 is when Rhi became my "official" preferred name.

I've struggled with my name for so long. It seems kind of silly to fret about a WORD, but it's the first thing anyone knows about me which is a bit of a big deal, and I don't want to be known as what I'm not. I am Rhi. I want to be known as that- not my dead name. This name holds a lot of stories and struggles and feats, and I own all of it!!!

Rhi is the best me. My name is a trophy and I'm happy to have it, because I feel like even when I'm called Rhy, Rye, Ri, Ree, or Reid, I can own it. I own the fact people can't get 3 letters right ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think I've had a lot of wars faught with my name and it's about time I recognize the wars won!
