So…an explanation.
Back in October, PsyDoktor did a "sanitized" version of Leroy for Halloween (it’s a term used in Splatoon 2′s OctoExpansion, hard to explain what it is but kinda like zombification in a way?), and Yark did a similar thing with Kaz.

Well, that got an idea brewing in my head. I’m a sucker for redemption, rescue or ‘reclaiming’ -type stories; stories that involve someone falling into the darkness only to try and redeem themselves or having a group of friends going in to rescue them. So I immediately started to think on that idea involving getting Leroy back.
Something that I also like in those kinds of stories is where the person has some kind of visual change to them to show that, while they’re back, they have been changed by the experience. Thanks to Yark, I thought of the idea of a different color scheme.

For Leroy, one idea came to me and it was too good to pass up: Leroy would be rescued by his lost cousin Ronny. He would do whatever he could to save his big cousin from a terrible fate.
So that was what I was going for here, and for fun I also did a version of him with his normal colors as well.
