Reference sheet of my RWBY character.
Name: Auranne Bai Hu
Age: 32
Height: 6' 5" ( 196.6cm )
Race: Faunus (white tiger)
Faunus trait: Tiger ears.
Origin: Vale
Primary weapon: Valentine. A gunsword that can become a bladed whip at the press of a button. Dust application can charge the cable with whatever dust is loaded into the weapon. Blade is composed of eleven segments, ten of which separate. Valentine is usually slung on either side of the back.
Secondary weapons: Ebony and Ivory. Twin bladed handguns, each of them have a specific names and purposes of use; Ebony named for an enemy, to kill monsters like the creature in which it was named. And Ivory, the taker of mortal souls, named for a beloved soul, a love in which Bai Hu would never again let herself feel.
Semblance: Improvisation - Auranne bears a passive Semblance, in that it is always there and never really stops, being triggered into heightened points of use through specific actions, such as Auranne getting herself into a mood with music, or having the conscious desire to be crafty or helpful. In short? In times where Auranne is oft absurdly underqualified, or otherwise is doing something that should not work under normal circumstances...It just -does-, because she wants it to.
Backstory: Growing up in Vale, Auranne has always had an eye for the latest in any Atlesian tech that she coudl see. Such fascination led to her taking simple contraptions apart and piecing them back together, which then led to her tinkering on her own, which progressed into Auranne building her own weapon designs and gadgets. When a childhood friend of hers, Seru Leona, lost arms and legs in a horrendous hate crime, Auranne was the one to construct the wolf faunus' first set of prosthetic limbs. Auranne attended Beacon Academy with full intent on becoming a huntress and getting more exposure to the workings of other weapons. In the later years of being a Beacon student, Auranne had met with Rakuen Toitsu of team VGRD; first-years at the time. Rakuen and Auranne hit off extremely well, and as soon as the former was of appropriate age, the two hooked up formally. Auranne graduated with the rest of team AURA and spent some time operating as professional huntsmen. Having her ideal job and spending much time with her girlfriend, These were the best years of Bai Hu's life.
It would not last, however. In a horrible accident on a mission that VGRD was Shadowing a professional huntsman, all but one member were lost to a pack of Grimm lead by an Alpha Beowulf of unbelievable cunning, the huntsman responsible for them all but abandoning them in an act of total neglect. Among the dead was Rakuen. Auranne took the news less than well. Her ability to function as AURA's leader plummeted, as did the rest of the stability in her life. Auranne puts much blame on herself for not following VGRD on the mission. Over the course of the next nine years, Auranne has done everything she can to drown out the pain. She started drinking in excess, sleeping around, seeking various sorts of substances. Now, Auranne works as an unlicensed cybernetics surgeon in the employ of a big fish in the mistral underworld. To any but the keenest eyes, the Faunus woman would appear as if nothing is wrong at all, partying, flirting, and laughing.
