Crash - Call Now and Get DOUBLE the Hypnosis!
Don't touch that dial! Real simulation!
When I think of characters from the Crash Bandicoot series that went woefully underutilized and could definitely do with an appearance in a new game, I definitely think of N. Trance. He’s the character that I hope makes it in a new Crash title mostly on account of the fact that, at one point, Crash fought a giant cat-faced alien egg with the power of hypnotism.
He's also the least-used member of the N. Team, only appearing in N-Tranced for the GBA (and honestly, that game and its prequel Huge Adventure are both completely underrated and more people should play them) and Crash Nitro Kart. He was going to appear in Cortex Chaos and Crash Twinsanity, appearing in the concept art and the storyboards for the treasure room scene, but I'm sure you know how well that went.
When it comes to Crash Bandicoot characters, I sorta imagine what their cheesy 90's cartoon episodes would be like, and with N. Trance, I would like to imagine that at one point, he'd do the whole "hypnotize an entire city of people over the TV" plot that was used in a lot of cartoons. In other words, like Mind Over Mutant. Only, you know, fun.
I imagine N. Trance to be the most chaotic neutral out of the N. Team members. He might occasionally help Cortex because hey, he's got nothing better to do, but in reality he doesn't actually have any stakes in the whole bandicoot fight and only really fights them because the blue fork man told him to. He's just here to have a fun time...and maybe make your squishy little underdeveloped brains do something funny for him in the process.
