"As someone who tortures and kills people for fun and profit, it's generally worth taking anything that horrifies Vice pretty seriously." - Spook
I wanted to try and draw Vice with a horrified/shocked expression as a reaction to a comment a friend of mine made on Discord. I promptly realised I had no idea at all how to do this. After at least 5 failed sketch attempts and some help from several people, I managed to make something close to what I was going for. I'm still not quite sure she looks quite as wildly upset as I would have liked, although I guess it's just a headshot and some of that would be better communicated by other body language.
I also learned while doing this that I'd criminally under-represented the awesome badassery of a hyena's jaws. Holy crap, they have way more and bigger teeth than I'd realised. This was dutifully fixed in the final version of this. I also realised how heavily I lean on eyeshadowing to make Vice look feminine: Hyenas are brutal, heavy-built monsters, it's kinda hard to keep true to them and also make them look sleek and feminine.
Critique on this would be very much appreciated. This took me way too many attempts and I still feel like I don't really quite know what I'm doing with expressions like this.
Hypothetically, if anyone wants a transparent .png of this, I have one available that you can have.
