The Bunker
Spectra carried her boots in her hand, being assigned one of the later patrol shifts of the night. She then looked over at the far wall as the elevator started to ping, signaling someone reporting back.
The doors opened to reveal Miracle. The raccoon was giddy, a big smile on her face.
"Hey, Janet!"
"Hey, Erin, back from your sh- h-hey! Hey!"
Miracle grabbed Spectra in a big hug, making the lioness drop her boots.
"Vermin proposed to me!! We're engaged!"
"Th-that's great! I'm really happy for you!"
Miracle felt like she was walking on air, talking excitedly:
"I thought I'd tell y'all here first! Gotta plan everything out! I really hope Daddy can make it! Don't know whether we should get married here or Georgia, but we'll figure it out!!" she said. The raccoon started to excitedly hop, taking the lioness along for the ride.
"Okay, okay! Calm down, Erin! You get any more excited and you'll explode!" Spectra laughed. Miracle giggled and stopped hopping, letting her go.
"Sorry, I'm just so happy!"
"Sure everyone else will be too when they hear. Congratulations," Spectra replied, returning the hug when Miracle calmed down. "Your shift done for the night?"
"Mmmhmmm, but I don't know if I'm going to get to sleep!"
"Well, do try, don't want you conking out in the middle of the day tomorrow. It's your shift at the reception desk!"
"Ha ha. I'll try, I promise."
