It was just another day in Seacrest for both Mekki and Rick. Like most weekends, they had decided to stop by the local mall to do some shopping. They had amassed some extra funds, so they went around looking for anything that got their attention. The two had already shopped at some stores, buying some much needed socks, Mekki got another pair of pants, and they even picked up some new sheets for their bed. Happily, Mekki looked to Rick. "I think that was everything we came for!"

"Aww...I guess getting socks was good enough...they are very important for boot wearing..." He shrugged. Rick still had some cash in his pocket that he was saving for something special. Nothing he had seen so far was good enough for him, though...

Mekki smileed and shook the bags lightly. "I think I'm okay... did you want to walk past the shoe shop on the way out?"

"Ohh, Old Ben's? Sure! We can see what he has this time!"

Mekki nodded and looked through the windows as they walked, it was almost time for Rick's birthday... he had an ulterior motive... to see what pair of boots Rick liked the most, and get him them... the sneaky wolfcoon knew the wolf would never suspect a thing... Mekki saw himself being pulled to his favorite boot store, just as planned.

Before going in, Rick stood in front of the store and examined the window display. "Hey, look at those!"

Mekki smiled before looking at what Rick was pointing at, eyes going wide as he pressed up against the window. "OOOH! I like those!"

Rick laughed, happy that Mekki was so excited over boots like he was. "I like them too! We should get them!"

"Aww... you don't see any others you really like?" Mekki curiously looked at Rick.

"Gosh...well...it's hard to pick out some that don't look like a pair I already have..." He crossed his arms, thinking for a bit. "They'd have to be something really unique that I don't have yet!"

"Hm... like... the ones in the window...?" Mekki nudged Rick. "Aaany boots that look unique?"

"You're gonna have to be more specific, my boot acolyte..." Rick smirked, rolling his eyes.

"Aw... Let's look around..." Mekki said, pulling Rick into the store... smiling happily, the two spending most of the afternoon trying on boots and looking around.
