Marcus: Aw man, I was hoping that was all a dream...
Marcus: [Notices clothes are still at the door] Good, mom didn't disturb me...
Marcus: [Quickly puts on necklace and, after listening outside for a moment, picks up Water ball and, hesitantly, drops it on the ground in a sort of pseudo-throw]

Aqua: I'm...so sorry... it's my fault that this happened to you...

Marcus: Yeah, yeah it is.
Marcus: So, are we gonna mope about it the rest of our lives, or are we gonna make things right?

Aqua: I...I wanna make things right...but...I don't know how to... She was about to cry again but Marcus picked her up

Marcus: Hey, you at least got me sorta human again.
Marcus: That's a start.
Marcus: A step in the right direction.
Marcus: Now, I'm gonna need you to shrink so we can go down to breakfast, alright?

Marcus: I'll bet. Suppose I'll get used to it eventually. For now... it's still a bit weird for me.
Marcus: [Puts on clothes, buttons top button to hide necklace]

Aqua shrank down and he put her in his pocket

Marcus: Hang on. What time is it?
Marcus: Woah, 10:16AM?

Marcus: No, that... that's actually good.
Marcus: Mom like to have sundays to go visit her sister, and my dad... well, he's got an odd schedule, but he works sundays usually.
Marcus: If things are as I anticipate, we've got the house to ourselves until 4...
Marcus: But hold on. Let me go check first.
Marcus: [Covers pocket with hand, removes clothes from door, opens door, and heads downstairs]
Marcus: Hello? Mom? Dad?
[no answer]
Marcus: And if I check the fridge...
Marcus: [enters kitchen, finds a note on the fridge]
Note: Good morning, honey. Off to Barbara's for games. You can handle things here, right? Call me if there's trouble. -Mom
Marcus: Yo, Dad?
[no answer]

Marcus: ...
Marcus: ... yeah. But don't touch anything.

Marcus: [Looks at hands; normal human hands] Ah... I really don't want to...
Marcus: ... no. No, you're right. I gotta... this is something I gotta get used to.
Marcus: [Looks around, closes blinds and covers windows]
Marcus: [After he's content with the house sealed from prying eyes, he takes a deep breath, and loops the string back out over his neck]
Marcus: [A flash of light, and he returns to his original form]

Marcus: Hey, forget about it. What's done is done.
Marcus: And if you really are sorry, you'll help me undo this. Alright?

Marcus: Alright. First things first; let's figure out how to walk... with these big, clawed feet.
Marcus: Like, I've been kind of... waddling with them out sideways like this...
Marcus: But, it's kinda impractical...

Aqua: I don't know how to help with that...

Marcus: ... hang on, you have big feet; how are you doing that?
Marcus: Just... balancing on your toes?

Aqua: y-yes... that's how my feet were built...I guess...

Marcus: Yeah? Alright. Let's- let's see if I can...
Marcus: Um... can I... I just... pull my toes back? Or...
Marcus: ... hm, they won't go back; they are quite stiff.
Marcus: Maybe... if I climb onto...
Marcus: [pulls himself up the side of a chair]

Marcus: Yeah, I'm trying. The claws are... getting in the way...
Marcus: Come on, you.. just...
Marcus: Ah! [feet slip and he falls]
Marcus: Ach, right on my tail. That hurt.
Marcus: Not working. Too slippery, and I've got no balance.

Marcus: Oi! Hey, stop that.
Marcus: I don't do that to you, do I?
Marcus: Besides, watch that stinger. Don't know if it's got poison in it.

Aqua: sorry...but...your tail is meant to keep you balanced...and don't Stand on the tips of your claws... just on your toes

Marcus: I'm trying, but my claws curl down, and I can't pull them up.
Marcus: See how you're curling your toes back like that?

Aqua: try and stand like me...

Drigil
Marcus: I can't... well, maybe I...
Marcus: Hang on a sec. [Sits down and grabs long foot]
Marcus: See, I'm... umph, I'm trying to... pull my toes... back... so I have... something to stand on.

Aqua: want me to help?

Drigil
Marcus: Um... yeah. Yeah, see if... see if you can stretch my toes back. Watch the claws, though...
Marcus: ... you know, maybe I should file them down first. That might help.
Marcus: I mean, why do I need all these pointed parts? I should just file everything down.

Marcus: Bathroom. Upstairs.
Marcus: Alright, where's that necklace?

Aqua: but you said I can't touch anything... She gave him back his necklace

Marcus: Ah. Within reason, I mean. Like, we don't want to leave any evidence behind that you were here.
Marcus: [transforms to human] OK, come on. Bathroom.
Marcus: We gotta do it in the bathroom, alright? Don't want nail filings all over the rug.

Marcus: [Files down foot claws, knee spikes, and claws on hands]
Marcus: Maybe not too much on my fingers, though. Still need to be able to grip stuff.
Marcus: [Pulls tail around, looks at stinger on the end]
Marcus: ... Ugh. Wonder if I can just cut this thing off.
Marcus: [eyes Aqua's worried look] Just the stinger part, not the tail itself.
Marcus: [gingerly grabs spike and bulb, pries them slightly to look in between]

Marcus: Hold on, hold on. One thing at a time...
Marcus: What do you think, Aqua? Should I try cutting this stinger bit off?

Aqua: no not yet...give the stinger time...

Marcus: ... uh... well, OK.
Marcus: Like, it's the heaviest and most dangerous part.

Marcus: ... uhh...
Marcus: ... OK, you know what? No, you're right, I'll give it a chance.
Marcus: Reckon I can cut it off at any time, but who's to say it'll grow back if I need it?
Marcus: Alright. Standing. Let's... um, let's do that on the rug outside, just on the landing.
Marcus: I can hold myself up with the banister.
Marcus: [flushes away claw filings, leaves bathroom]
Marcus: OK. Spot me, let's give this a try...
Marcus: [Grabs onto railing pillar, pulls himself up onto the ends of his feet]
Marcus: OK, this is good. The toes are still stiff, but I can feel the ground. Can I... can I just push my weight on them and make them curl up?

Marcus: Alright. Spot me, alright?
Marcus: [Puts weight on toes, slowly lets himself down]
Marcus: Ugh. This... oh, this doesn't feel right...
Marcus: OK, OK, I... I think I'm starting to get a center of balance... I think... I can let one hand go...
Marcus: ... woah. Oh. The tail. What do I do with the tail?
Marcus: Do I, like, push it down on the ground, or hold it up behind me? What do I do?
Marcus: Though I'm still trying to figure out the left and right of it...
Marcus: [swings tail around behind him] Left... right... left...
Marcus: OK... maybe... up like this?
Marcus: [redoubled grip on banister] Ok, that makes me lean back. Noted. Noted...
Marcus: OK, I think I'm getting it now. Counter-balance, right? I hold it up to pull myself back, and I drop it to straighten myself out. Right?
(Ah, the home-owner's back. I'll have to find a new empty house with a internet-connected computer)

Marcus: I mean, I don't have any idea what I can do, if anything. I can barely transform... heck, I can barely walk...
Marcus: But, I mean, what are the chances that I'll suddenly be able to do something new out of nowhere without really trying?

Marcus: I'm still learning how to walk again. Let's not add factors to this.
Marcus: And, to be honest, being bigger is really not going to help things.
