Aqua: why are you getting a shower ready?

Marcus: I just found you in the alleyway. I ain't letting you into my room all dirty and stuff.
Marcus: Plus, my parents get home in, like, an hour. Don't want the place to stink or they'll have you thrown out before I can explain anything.
Marcus: Hope you aren't allergic to soap or nothing.

she jumped in the tub happily...she came out and she sneezed out some soap bubbles

Marcus: Huh, oh yeah. I guess Popplio are water types.
Marcus: Ok, um... I'm... I'm wondering if I should, like, get my parents involved.
Marcus: I mean, if you talk to them... like you're talking to me, I'm sure they'll listen.
Marcus: My dad, though... he's... well, he's kinda strict.
Marcus: But... I gotta ask. What are we gonna do with you?
Marcus: Like, do we just... hold onto you for a couple days until those creatures leave?
Marcus: Or... do you know... anyone... who can help?
Marcus: I mean, I can't... I don't know much about Pokemon. I really don't know what to do.
Marcus: I don't even know what you guys eat.
Marcus: Ol' Mighty's got a bag of food in the pantry... I don't know if you eat that stuff, though.

Marcus: Well, guess there's one way to find out...

Marcus: Oh, um... let me... check the fridge.

he got her some food and while she was eating Marcus was thinking on what to do with her...he could tell that she was a young girl and by the sound of her voice she sounded like a 5 or 6 year old

Marcus: [Thinking while staring out the window to the yard]
Marcus: Hey, Ol' Mighty's out there if you... want someone to talk to. She's getting old, but she's loyal to a fault.
Marcus: Though I... don't know what she'll do if I let her in.

Marcus: Oh, @#$%. Was it already an hour?
Marcus: Shoot. OK, um... just... um...
Marcus: OK, look. Hide, and I'll tell you when to come out, alright?

Marcus: I don't know, just... um... just, just stay in my room, I'll go meet them in my living room.
Marcus: Up the stairs, second door on the left.
Marcus: You... OK, you understand that, right?

Marcus: [Gets into the living room just as the door opens]
Marcus: Hey, guys!
Father: [Looks at Marcus sternly]
Father: ... a 26?
Marcus: ... [sighs and clenches his fists]
Marcus: No hiding things from you, huh?
Father: [Shakes his head, mouth flat]
Mother: [Casually wanders to the kitchen]
Father: So... you wanna explain yourself, or should we spare the theatrics?
Marcus: [Suddenly hits upon an idea]
Marcus: OK, dad, I know it sounds a bit far-fetched, but I really do have a good reason.
Father: I'm listening...
Marcus: OK, something... happened... like... a... a couple weeks ago.
Marcus: I... uh...
Father: [Crosses arms]
Marcus: OK, I-... oh, geez, you're not gonna believe this.
Father: Try me.
Marcus: OK. Well, I... I... was just walking home one day... a couple weeks ago...
Marcus: And, I heard this crying in an alleyway, so I was thinking, "Oh no, someone might be hurt!"
Marcus: And then I went in there, and I found a...

Mother: What happened here?
Marcus: [Eyes wide] I'm... explaining that. Right now.
Marcus: I found a Pokemon. In the alleyway. It was in trouble.
Marcus: It was being chased by this scary monster, and I ... I protected it.
Mother: You WHAT?
Marcus: Yeah, I... got involved-
Mother: My goodness! Are you hurt?!
Marcus: Y-eah, I'm fine, mom! It was a couple weeks ago.
Mother: I am shock, Marcus. You, of all people, should know not to involve yourself with wild Pokemon! What if you got poisoned!
Marcus: Yeah, yeah, I was super-lucky, and I promise I won't do it again.
Father: Marcus... what happened after?
Marcus: I... well, I couldn't just leave it there...
Marcus: So I... kinda...
Marcus: ... brought it... home... with me...
Mother: [Eyes wider] You WHAT?!
Father: You... brought home a wild Pokemon?
Marcus: It's not like that, Dad! Really, it's- it's fi-
Father: Where is it now?
Marcus: It's... it's in my-
Father: [Marches past]
Marcus: Wait wait wait wait wait wait!
Marcus: I'll bring him- her, I'll bring her out. Just please.. just...
Marcus: I had... a very... very good reason for this...
Marcus: Just just just... wait there, I'll... I'll be right back.
Marcus: [Practically flies upstairs]
Marcus: [Dashes into room, closes door behind him]
Marcus: Ok, I can't believe I'm about to do this...
Marcus: Aqua? Where are you?

Marcus: Aqua? It's OK! It's time to come out!
Marcus: A... @#$%, did she go to the wrong room?

Father: I'm waiting, Marcus.
Mother: [quietly] A wild pokemon, Francis?
Father: [quietly] He's just making this up, don't worry.
Marcus: [doesn't hear 'quietly' stuff, checking under bed and in closet]

he heard a tiny voice...it sounded like aqua...but higher Aqua: hey I'm down here! He looked down on the floor and found a 3 inch tall aqua

Marcus: WHAT the #@$%?!
Mother: Marcus! Language!
Marcus: Yeah, sorry! Just gotta... clean something up... gimme a minute!
Father: You have 10 seconds.
Marcus: [Quietly, to Aqua] OK, what the $%@!'s going on?

Marcus: Great. Fine. OK.
Marcus: [Even more quietly] Listen. Let's get our stories straight. I found you two weeks ago, I've been looking after you since, and because I've been taking such good care of you, that's why I fell behind on my studies. Alright?
Marcus: We're solving two problems with one lie.

Marcus: Can you do that?
Marcus: Alright. Just... stand there. Don't change size or anything. Time for you to meet my parents.
Marcus: [Unlocks and opens door] OK... dad, mom...
Marcus: Say... um, say hello to... Aqua.

Both parents: [Eyes got wide enough after seeing the pokemon, eyes got wider after hearing the greeting]
Mother: [Staggers back, father catches her]
Marcus: So... dad? This is...
Father: [Through clenched teeth] I'll... be right back...
Father: [Drags fainted mother to her bed, returns]
Father: OK. Explain.
Marcus: So, this is Aqua. She can... talk. There was this monster chasing her, and... well, apparently everyone's after her, and... well, she wants me to keep her safe for a little while.
Father: If everyone's after her, don't you think there's a good reason for that?
Marcus: I know, but... she said...
Marcus: ... [sigh] Dad, if you were there, you... I know you would've done the same.

Father: ...
Father: ... Marcus.... I... I have no words right now.
Father: What... what have you brought into this household?
Marcus: Dad, I'm sorry, I really am. But I had to do something!
Marcus: You're always telling me to take initiative! So I did!
Marcus: I... I wanted to save her life, Dad! You weren't there! You didn't see that... thing. That monster!
Father: ...
Father: ... what was her name again?
Marcus: A- Aqua.
Father: Aqua. You can speak?

Father: it's not about what we feel.
Father: Why were you being chased? Why did my son need to get involved?
Father: ... more importantly, what ARE you? You look like a mashup between a-
Marcus: She's a hybrid, Dad.
Marcus: She's a Riolu and Popplio hybrid.
Father: ... a hybrid?
Marcus: Yeah, like... two Pokemon... merged...
Father: ...
Father: Aqua. Can you explain this?

Aqua: I...was made in a lab...I was a test so to see if team rocket's theory in Pokemon fusion worked...and it did...so they continue to test on me in order to perfect the process...and I know I'm a Riolu and popplio hybrid.. I also have a little bit of human blood in me... that's why I can talk... I'm so sorry... it's...all my fault...I was so weak...I could've fought those monsters...but...I...I... She looked like she was going to cry

Father: ...
Marcus: ...
Father: ... this the first you heard of this, son?
Marcus: Eh? Uh, yeah. I mean... yeah, I... never thought to ask.
Father: Well... I don't know what it's like there or what they've done to you,
Father: But by the sounds of things, you belong to those people at the lab.
Father: I imagine they must be worried about you.
Marcus: No, dad! We- we can't let them have Aqua back?
Father: And why not? This creature is their property!
Father: They might have spent a lot of money on this experiment.
Father: Look, I get it. They're... not the most sincere of organizations.
Father: But I will not stand to see my son stoop to their level?
Marcus: .. their level?
Father: They steal Pokemon, son.
Father: By taking this one away from those people, you've effectively stolen it from them.
Marcus: Dad, it's not like that!
Father: Marcus. You will get that thing out of the house right now, and we will never speak of this again.
Marcus: Dad... no!
Father: I will not say it again-
Marcus: NO, Dad! I'm not... I'm not letting them get Aqua.
Marcus: She's... she's scared of them! They must've done some bad things to make her run away from them.
Father: Lab testing has never been pleasant, but it's thanks to those noble sacrifices that we now have potions and antidotes to heal other Pokemon.
Father: Do you think somebody just came up with that idea and boom, new product?
Marcus: Dad...
Father: ...Marcus...
Father: ...
Father: ... Ok. Look. It can stay for one more night.
Father: After that... I don't care what you do with it. It needs to go.
Father: Just... bring it to a forest or something, say your goodbyes, and come right back.
Father: Is that clear?
Marcus: ... dad... please, I-
Father: You do this, maybe I'll be so pleased with you I might... forget your poor exam mark.
Father: But this should not be a reason for you to fail at your studies.
Marcus: I... [a few deep breaths later]... yes, father.
Father: That's a good boy. Remember, tomorrow, it's gone. You'd better be thankful it's the weekend, or I would've dealt with it myself.
Marcus: ... yes, father.
Father: ... now, if you excuse me, your mother needs an explanation...
Father: [leaves and closes door]
