Entry for a contest on deviantart (didn't win lol). The theme was to draw two characters who creatively complement each other, and these guys are twin dragons, a writer and an artist.

Suggested backstory:

The writer is serious, collected, and introverted. The artist is messy, loud, and extroverted. They've been making stories together since they were little. The writer doesn't have much talent for art, and the artist doesn't have much talent for writing, but they are very good at the skill they've honed, and they're very effective working together. They took somewhat different paths when they grew up. The writer turned to academia, and the artist moved in with some of their many friends and took on periodic and unpredictable jobs a freelancer. The two still kept in touch, but it was difficult to relate as they'd drifted so far apart and were following such different paths. Then the artist came to the writer for help with a job... a forgery. The writer had no great respect for the law and thoughtlessly humored their twin. When they became rich practically overnight, the writer started paying more attention. Dragons love gold, and it's hard to make money as a simple student. The twins are back to working together again, now, with this new shared interest of being disgustingly rich in common. It's almost like old times, but a little more... incredibly illegal.
