The Appropriate Reaction - Sequence 09

... or it could be seconds.
And here's the end to the sequence! A bit anti-climactic, yes, but ends off on a slightly more positive note than the original story.
One of Adomm's personal rules is that she does not manipulate the mind. All of her creations retain their original personality and mindset, and their stereotypical animalism traits do not really surface unless desired. For example, turning something into a cat doesn't make them immediately crave fish (unless it is their original go-to stress food). And if their jaws allows it, quite often they retain the ability to speak.
Brad's case is no different. What he just went through was not due to Adomm's interference, but instead something in his mind snapping from... overuse, I imagine. Sort of a mental burnout. I've seen that sort of behavior in humans where if they have to think too much, they stop thinking altogether and escape to a simple thought. For example, say they forget to wear their pants to work and only realize this in a big crowd of people. There is fear and panic involved, scenarios play out, excuses are hastily hypothesized, but at the end of it, all thought processes go out the window and they usually just run for it.
Fortunately, Adomm completed her work before he got out of range. Good thing, too. She doesn't like it when her canvases escape only half-done.
So there you go. From here on, if I do try another sequence, it will be its own original story. ... or maybe I will just upload the full raw, get a public response, and see if it's even worth cleaning and coloring. Story-telling is an experimental process.
Until then...
