I don't think it's practical, due to the blade being too thick. Looks intimidating, but that would be one heavy piece of steel to strap on one arm.

I think you mean thats the blade is wide? Thats what I believe you say when your looking at a blade from this position. Thickness refers to when you directly at the blades spine or edge. Though I get that the more material their is either way makes a weapon heavy, which is why I'd envisioned a big brute type of character useing this weapon. Thanks, I should definitely give some reasonable measurements and thought process behind these weapons in later entrys.

Yes wide, sorry. The way armour works, as I understand it, is to equally distribute the weight. With that weapon being strapped to a single arm, whoever is using it is going to be off balance. But that's my take on it so I hope that helps you in some way. It's an interesting design no doubt.
