The gentle rhytmic sound of lapping waves was the dominant sound on the empty beach. The sun had set a short while ago, and the beach goers had all gone for the day. The ocean breeze flowed over the trunks and up the shirt of the orange figure locking the shack he used as an office on the beach. The shark rabbit hybrid sighed a little tiredly as he checked to make sure his life guard badge was still clipped to his trunks. "Another day done." he commented to himself satisfied.
He turned toward his car before stopping suddenly. Something in the sparkling moonlit waves caught his eye and sent him surging into action. He ran as fast as he could and dove headlong into the dark surf. A moment later he emerged carrying a small figure. Long blonde hair was draped over his arm from the head of the small female he now carried cradled in his large arms.
She was a mouse. Small and thin. Long blonde hair flowed from her head and turned purple at the tips. He wasn’t sure if it was from the drops of ocean water still in it, but he could swear the purple tips were a bit sparkly. She wore a simple red bikni. He lay her on the sand and put his ear up to her chest to check for a heartbeat. To his surprise the female awoke right there. She coughed forcefully and looked around confused. "Where...Where am..." she started disoriented.
"Calm down ma'am. You'll be fine. You're on land now." assured the lifeguard.
"I...am..." she noted as her breathing began to slow.
"Forgive me for asking, but what were you doing out in the ocean this late?" he asked next.
"I slipped on a pier and hit my head before falling into the water. I could tell I was in the water, but I couldn't move right. I thought I was going to drown." she explained as she shook her head lightly.
"You're lucky I spotted you while I was leaving." he replied.
"That makes you my hero doesn't it? And a hero deserves a reward." the mouse female said next as she turned her attention to him.
The shark hybrid blushed lightly at the notion, but shook his head no. "Thank you ma'am, but I was just doing my job. We should call an ambulance for you though since you might have a concussion." he offered.
"Oh come now my big strong hero. You could at least let me give you a kiss. One kiss won't hurt will it?" she replied as she pulled her long hair out from in front of her left eye. It glowed ominously as the male stared into it. Something swirled in the glow, something he couldn't put his finger on, but it drew his attention completely.
The aquatic male had to clear his throat now. If she really was that intent on rewarding him, why should he refuse? It’s just a kiss right? His unfocused eyes glowed to match hers as he leaned down. Their lips touched and their arms embraced.
A minute passed as their lip lock continued. The swirl in her eye came to a stop. It's shape was a pentagram. She moaned softly into the kiss before it ended suddenly and the male fell over unconscious. "Poor little mortal. You’re so tired from work that you could barely spare any life force for me. Not that I could drain much with a simple kiss anyway." the female noted as she covered her still glowing left eye with her long hair as the bikini she wore began to change. It morphed and changed into a long dress around her.
She looked up at the full moon and cracked a smile. "The portal took me a lot farther from shore than I'd hoped, but I made it to the mortal plane. Now I just have to find her." she noted softly before she began walking. Her shadow moved over the sleeping male as she did. She left him blissfully asleep on the sand.

Who is this now? Seems she's not of this world. Just what is she? And who could she be looking for?

I feel a bit bad for Bruce, having his energy drained. This mysterious mouse is not what she appears. I have a sneaking feeling she isn't a good character. Especially with that pentagram design in her eye. That's never a good sign. =x
We need another story with her...so we can see what her true nature is. And also, get a name to this mousey.

Oooh, what a cunning & devious little thing! Very intriguing method of capturing & luring her prey >:3 She didn’t kill him though, right? Just unconscious? O.O Nicely written as always hon!!
Btw, you’re missing some quotations in the last paragraph, right after the first sentence! :x
