Someone needs to investigate why there are so many cases of extraterrestrials eating us but never the other way around. Xenomorphs taste pretty good.

Uh, what? You do know that Drones can be killed by a shotgun blast? Dwayne Hicks shows this early in Aliens, albeit it was point blank range, but still did the job done (It's been awhile since I watched the film, but I'm pretty sure it was a shotgun when they all tried to evacuate and he thrust the barrel into it's mouth when it was trying to open the door further to the M577 Armored Personnel Carrier). Their exoskeleton is super tough, absolutely, but not completely bullet proof. And they're no more aggressive then any other Hive-based mentality.
" it's mouth"
Well most animals was lesser armored in ther mouth and inside there body as ther Armor outside.
And it also happend on a really close range. so close that he can punch it.
the Normal distance to use a shotgun is a little bit more distance.
And in the game alien isolation the Xenomorph could not really harm by a shotgun.
On the other hand in the alien vs predator games shotguns mostly work pretty will under 10 meter...
Let us say ever Xenomorph is diffrent.
And to the agressive parts. Well How would i act if someone break into my house. murder my children. (the first Cheastbuster) and carry guns and flamethrower neary my pregmont mother and her fresh layed babys...

Yeah, I know the inside of it's mouth isn't like their exoskelton.
Nor am I understanding why you would bring up "other animals" as Xenomorphs are their own thing entirely. As I stated, it was point-blank range, but shotguns generally are supposed to be medium to close range type weapons, but that's besides the point. Looked back into the film, the blast was still strong enough to blow the entire carapace casing. One could suggest and say that this was only possible because the blast was inside the Drone's mouth, rather than being outside. Unfortunately for us, there has been no evidence on camera of the effectiveness of a 12 gauge buckshot in the film. I guess you could say under certain circumstances, such as the one revealed to Hicks, that their "weakness" to a shotgun blast would be from the inside of a Drone's mouth. I'm going to assume that because a pistol is relatively, pretty much utterly, harmless to the exoskeleton of Drones that this may also be the case to a shotgun even if at point blank range.
As far as AVP is concerned, though, dude that's a FPS. All weapons, even your pistol, is effective against the Drones, lol. Doesn't really count there.
If indeed there was a shotgun you were capable of equipping in Alien: Isolation (I haven't beaten the game yet, and only recall having a pistol and that, as it's supposed to, was ineffective against the Drone) I would hope it incapable to do damage considering Alien: Isolation was more about running from it, and not gunning it (I.e. the difference between Alien and Aliens).
Not every Xenomorph is diffferent, and what I mean by this is all Drones are effectively the same to each other. The only other differences there would be to Xenomorphs would be Predaliens to Drones to Praetorians to Runners to Queen, etc. Unless I am wrong here, but from what I've seen in the films and games every Drone/Warrior is the same to each other.
I mean your "ultra" aggressive statement. I don't see there being an "ultra" aggressive state. Xenomorphs have a Hive-mind mentality. They have a Queen, and a hive lair. Anyone who comes close to said liar are then informed by the Queen to protect said lair from intruders. This isn't "ultra" aggressive. This is just aggressiveness in the stance of hive-mind mentality, the same ants and bees react to intruders to their respective lairs. But I don't recall anyone saying that ants and bees are "ultra" aggressive due to this nature? Unless I'm wrong? Other than that I really do not understand your last sentence, sorry.
Also, please do not take anything I am saying offensively. :P I am very passionate about Xenomorphs, that is all. I am not in any way, shape, or form mad or whatever. XD!!

You mention "Alien and Aliens". its hard to compare those drones. And we must take in mind, that when alien was createt, it was a stand allone movie and not plan to be part of a long running serie of movies.
But it seams that this Drone in Alien on the nostromo was much stronger in resistance as the drone in aliens or any other alien movie.
perhaps we can biological assume that the Drone releas chemicals to comminicated and even a not burst chestbuster can detect those chemicals. or a Facehuger. Perhaps if a Xenomorph was allone like it was in alien. It grow in a stronger variation that would survival better as a drone that was born in a hive but then compleet seperated. Perhaps that stronger Variation need more supply and food (it eat nearly the whole crew) or that stronger Variation has other price to pay. In the end of the movie it move much slower and lesser agile. I read a interview where the team mean this was becaus the drone of that movie has only a lifetime of a few days. and in human Years it was allready 50+ Years and that the reason why it was lesser agile and even change his color a little.
And the the shotgun in your mouth thing. Yes the armor of the skin exploded in the back ( well more middle back in the movie)
But a armore strukture could be weaker on the inside as on the outside.
they are sometimes Glasbottles in factorys make that cool down wrong. this lead to highe tensions. to the point that a bottle can use to hammer a Nail in a Wood plank without damage the glas.
but if you let fall down a nail in this bottle the Glas exploded like a grenate when the nail hit the bottom.

If we put it in general movie terms, then yes the Drone is different from the Drones/Warriors in Aliens. You're right, Ridley didn't quite expect for his creation to become the household franchise that it is today. However, I'm looking at it through a biological standpoint. What I mean by this is that because of James Cameron's ALIENS the biological portion of the Xenomorphs are canon, and therefore would apply to the one in the first film. Well, that's how I see it anyways.
We can agree to disagree with this, lol.
"And the the shotgun in your mouth thing. Yes the armor of the skin exploded in the back ( well more middle back in the movie)
But a armore strukture could be weaker on the inside as on the outside." <--- I've already explained this as a big possibility in my previous statement. Aka here "Looked back into the film, the blast was still strong enough to blow the entire carapace casing. One could suggest and say that this was only possible because the blast was inside the Drone's mouth, rather than being outside. Their biology has no ties to a location (aka a hive). That's like saying the Queen would become weaker or stronger when she was forced to separate from her hive to chase down Newt and Ripley. :\ I don't see a physiological change other than the Chestbursters who would develop into said Predalien or Praetorian for example. As far as the interview, citations please, aka a link would be nice to see if this in fact true.
Anyways, not gonna go on a long speel about this, lol. Agree to disagree, my friend! Take care! X3
