November 11th 2018 marks 100 years since the guns stopped firing on the Western Front and World War I was officially over. This poignant and glorious moment led to me creating this picture.
Back in February 2018, or thereabouts, I drew Tardis99's fursona re-enacting a triumphant scene from the Doctor Who episode "Last of the Time Lords". This time, I'm drawing myself as the 10th Doctor in the final scene of the episode "Family of Blood"; easily one of the most tear-jerking scenes in the franchise.
Back in 1913, the Doctor leaves young Timothy Latimer a fob watch that once contained his Time Lord "soul". Tim ends up fighting in the Trenches, where the watch tells him what time a shell is about to land on him and saves his life. Then more then 80 years later, having lived longer than most veterans, Tim sees the Doctor and Martha one Remembrance Sunday, and bittersweet gratitude comes flooding out...
All credit to BBC for their property. Kenzie McMal is mine, though.

I haven't watched any much of the more recent Doctor Who show. Though I have see some of the old series when it broadcast in America, mostly some episodes featuring Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker.
But more on Veteran's Day...... I'm rather appreciative of what had happened and of what the Allied troops had done to save the West in the First World War, including the soldiers from my homeland the United States.
