Here we're getting onto the last week of my Inktober drawings and I think these are some of my favourite ones.
The prompt for this was "Nightmares", so I thought I'd draw Shaka's recurring nightmare, a PTSD related flashback to the atrocity he committed at the order of his old fascist commanders. Although he later killed most of the members of his own unit, their evil, restless ghosts still haunt his dreams.
I was really pleased with how this turned out. I did a reasonable job concealing it, but until perhaps 6 months ago, I never really did facial expressions. Typically, I just aimed to make the face "good enough" without going for a specific expression. I've been practising and getting better at picking out specific expressions to draw and this relatively intense one I got just how I wanted more or less immediately with very little erasing.
Shaka's spots are still a top contender for "my favourite thing to draw". :P

Yea this was one of your more interesting inktober concepts, though perhaps another melodramatic. Then again that's nothing new from you =P
In contrast to the others on wildlands group i actually find Shaka's expression to be the weakest link mostly because I really like how the skull face sergeant. He came out really good. But yea cool idea
