She closed the bedroom door behind her. Nora wanted some dedicated alone time for the rest of the night, and thus wished her parents a good night earlier than usual. She looked over to her computer in the corner of the room, it’s lit screen showing a blog of some sort. With an unsteady sigh, she crept over to her computer, her four-toed clawed feet gently patting into the carpet as she made her way. As she drew nearer, it was all too apparent what blog it was: Lucy’s Life Letters.
Specifically, the ones regarding the young woman’s ordeal during the infamous Flesh Sculptor incident in Idallen.
Planting her bottomless rear onto her rose-coloured office chair, she grabbed the front of her similarly coloured long-sleeved shirt and shifted it until she was more comfortable. The more comfortable the canine girl could be, the better.
A while ago, she had started reading the series put up by the eponymous blogger, Lucy, interested in the event that shook Idallen to its core. While she did finish the first “chapter,” Nora needed to take some time off. While the transformations haven’t been too terrifying, the fact that this actually happened, with someone doing this to people, and that one victim was little more than just a head with tentacles, was disturbing enough.
Nora’s gut churned, struck with morbid curiosity of what was going to happen next. She felt something similar with a story she had recently read, about a girl at a rave party. The girl wasn’t the most outgoing person, and had trouble fitting in. That all changed once people started feeling strange, including herself. And then it just went to hell. Even though no one died, the sheer thought that those party-goers would have to live like that for the rest of their lives, forever changed into such monsters, lingered on Nora’s mind.
But that was a fictional story, written and illustrated by an artist. What Lucy’s blog described was very real. As much as Nora didn’t want to continue, she had to. She had to know what happened. And how it ended.
Nora moved herself up to the computer desktop and the desk it resided upon. Her dark brown eyes studied the blog, coordinating with her right hand to scroll down to the next “chapter”.
“Matt got Mammaries,” Nora whispered as she read the title for the first part. It sounded almost too funny to be true. Again, the transformations hadn’t been too bad so far. Perhaps this was another case like that? Maybe he just got a pair of breasts?
