May be an English > American translation error but "I have done since" is valid grammar where I'm from. Also worth noting I often write the characters in the way a person would speak, choosing to neglect proper grammar in favour of what sounds more natural to actually say.

I can understand his reason for hiding it. Must have been so awful being labled as a blasphemous heretic when he was telling the truth. Guess they believed she was supposed to be an "unseen force that demanded to be obeyed." But she told Jax her true intentions but they didn't want to be proven wrong by a child.
As Dumbledore would say "A child's voice, however honest and true, is meaningless to those who've forgotten to listen."
