You know how it goes. You are a struggling actor, trying to get a gig. And then a sweet script drops into your lap. A scifi flick about an alien hunter who stalks humans for sport. You go in, having no idea what role they want you to read for, so you familiarize yourself with all of them. You are ushered into the casting director's office and are asked if you will be available for the entire duration of the shoot. They also ask if you are open to method acting. You tell them you are. So, instead of having you read for a part, they whip out a dart rifle and shoot you in the shoulder. In moments, you have been turned into an alien. Turns out, they were looking for you to play the alien hunter. Turns out, turning somebody into an alien is cheaper than hiring an FX team to create one from scratch.

But hey, it all turns out for the best. The movie is a hit, and you get tons of accolades for the role. Sure, you may not be able to ever be human again, but you get to act in all the many sequels. Also, you are superhumanly strong, and a few voice classes help you get speaking through mandibles down. And it's not just scifi roles you get. That one avant garde version of Pride and Prejudice where you played Mr. Darcy was a big hit!
