Oh he's almost always alone. He left the Arcanine pack he was raised in once he hit adult age.
That hypno gauntlet is all you need, once he's hypnotized, he's all yours to play with. He's shy towards outsiders so he'll run away once he sees you so you might want to hypnotize him without him noticing you which won't be difficult. Aside from actual threats, he's completely off guard.
