In Scottish legends, and also some Ireland, Iceland and Germany claims, the kelpie is a dangerous aquatic horse creature. Protean, it appears to exhausted travellers under the shape of a beautiful wet-haired young woman or more commonly of a splendid wet-maned lost white, black or grey horse willing to be rode, while its true appearence according to some versions would be that of a man with the head and the lower body of a horse. But if you ride on its back, it will dive in the lake, drown you and devour you. You can make it docile by equipping it with a bridle (or a saddle), and it will become a magical-powerless horse strong like 10, but watch out ! If it loses its bridle, it runs way and casts a life curse, and all the work made with it vanishes ! And even with the bridle it can be very violent and even eat pieces of its owner. The kelpies are said to be oviparous, blacksmiths and to communicate through dancing.
