Since the Folly once carried a light carrier and a destroyer she must be really B..I..G.

Not really though a couple ideas from others have come close.

The next shot (cubed) has a 60 meter cube hiding most of the station, the big shuttles are big enough that their legs wrap around the corners of the cube ...

Shuttle...i think i'm just making the figurative jump from a two-master to a modern container freighter.

It's all modular, you could have ten rings if you wanted/needed - though as they have artificial gravity they don't need rings for that.

No, would need to be much larger and have eight large fold-able radiators.

Hmm, so some low-budget (adapted from something before artificial gravity or so cheap it's built without) station. Probably in orbit around an inhabited world, serving mostly small ships coming and going from orbit, not the larger interstellar ships. Maybe a private manufacturing or research facility.

That suggests something. What about a manufacturing or research facility working on something that needs to avoid artificial gravity? (But what? Could it have something to do with boronike?)

The rings make it an antique in the chakat universe, where artificial gravity is as commonplace as artificial lighting is for us today.
Perhaps one of the other space-faring cultures didn't invent artificial gravity on their own, so they would have built lots of space stations with rings before meeting the humans and getting the technology from them.
