Baby Kern dragons! I’m super inspired to develop this species at the moment, so definitely expect more in the future!
These two younglings are Hell Kerns, displaying the “Crystal Nebula” and “Cosmic Sun” coat patterns, which are two of the most commonly found ones.
Hell Kerns are one of the six subspecies of Kerns that inhabit this world. The other five are the Plains, Forest, Coastal, Snow and Dust Kerns. The Hell Kerns make up the smallest population, but they’re also the most vibrant.
They’re recognized by their bold and colorful stripes on top of a dark base. Common coat patterns include shades of blue, purple, magenta, red, orange, yellow and black.
Hell Kerns find their habitat in rugged mountains and near volcanoes. Legends say that these Kerns sprouted from the volcanoes of old, many eons ago.
