After many failed attempts to locate Grendizer's hidden base, Blacki is force to drag him out of hiding by attacking the earth with his Minifo flotilla and Goru Goru is launched to assist in the assault. As Koji leaves to fight the invaders, Daisuke puts a transmitter device on his belt, he then takes off on his TFO and fights the Minifo flotilla and Beast, then flies out of the city, with attackers and Monster on his Tail, but despite his best efforts, he is captured on an Energy Net and barrage with laser blasts – the TFO loses control and crashes on an island, Koji been tossed out by the impact, wounding his left arm and the communication system getting wreck, leaving him helpless. Daisuke leaves on the Grendizer and searches for Koji with the help of the transmitter, unbeknownst to him Blacki had detected him, when he arrives to Koji's last position, he is found working with great difficulty on the TFO's radio, but succumbs to his wound.

As Daisuke takes care of Koji and establishes a conversation, the Vegans attack, the two split up, and Daisuke boards Grendizer, but Goru Goru comes out and grabs it before he could escape, and bashes him onto the ground – Koji intervenes by throwing a grenade into one of the Beasts mouths, distracting to allow Daisuke to escape and fights Goru Goru in Robot Mode – in the fight Goru Goru is tossed with Gravity Beam, and crashes, but lets lose the heads while the Body operates on it own, the 3 components pinning down Grendizer on a hillside. Koji then comes out to fight on his repair TFO and blasts one of the heads off him, Grendizer then uses its Shoulder Boomerangs and destroys the flying heads. Grendizer the docks with his ship and uses the Spinning Saucers and Melt Shower, damaging a great of Goru Goru – finally, Space Thunder is deploy to dispatch the left overs of the Beast. Blacki vows revenge, later Koji thanks Daisuke for his help and returns him the transmitter, the two board the vessels and fly back home.
