Called huli jing in China (where there only are females) and kitsune in Japan (where there are males but less than females), fox-people are tales and legends creatures sometimes malevolent (then similar to nine-tailed foxes ; in some versions they are the same creatures and earn an extra tail til the age of 1 000 when the 9th grows) sometimes benevolent. They can turn into humans, generally very attractive, but also into already existing people. You recognise them with their tail they canot hide, their narrow face with high cheekbones and eyes close together, sometimes their ears, red hair and green eyes, and they fear dogs and can run away taking back their fox form in their presence. They can possess people, are very smart, know magic, but in Japan they can also throw fire or lightnings from their mouth or their tail(s), fly, enter dreams, become invisible and create illusions.
