I had drawn the White Lady last year, whom I saw as a banshee, but here now a random banshee. Banshees belong to the Irish and Scottish folklore, and each of them is the guardian of a noble and ancient family. They watch over them, may keep them company, may curse their enemies, may act as Oracles, but being immortal, when a member of that family dies, they let out a horrible screech of despair and pain ; those who hear it know they will die the following days. They are described as young or old women looking constantly sad with the eyes full of tears often gathering themselves at the grave of the members of the family they watch over.
