Okay so I was tempted to just do Delta in this prompt for bali dance, but I have already drawn her in this costume and it felt a little self serve lol. I was debating between an ox (heavy leaning), a reptile, and a bird...since this is a bird dance's garb I just swerved to bird. Little disappointed in the face, and maybe should have stuck with the ox I had in mind. Nerded out on the outfit though haha.

Actually in this one I did not, but I used various pencils and one of them was a mechanical lead that I fell in love with all over again only to look it up again and find that its not made anymore with lots of other artists in forums pouring one out for it. Nice rich and sketchy. No wonder I had it in my less used/scoured toolbox. It blends well. All I used was graphite and some dry paint brushes.
I pretty much hate charcoal, conte, and chalk texture on my hands, along with dirt or dust. Anything else is generally fine, but my art teacher used to give me endless crap for not using it without medical gloves on. I ended up finding ways around using it. Like pencil versions haha. Still I rarely use it, even for warmups.
I may do an ox in some Thai garb or something when I get the chance.

My art teacher was always giving everybody shit for trying to smudge pencils to make a gradient/shading. he said pencils are exclusively to draw LINES and only lines, and if you want to do gradients you use charcoal. I disliked art school so much i ditched drawing even furries for few years and learned welding, which now is my job. abandoned all plans about doing more art except for fun and thats it. it took me really much effort to even start drawing again and i always feel like forcing myself to it. but when i get to it i enjoy it actually. I don't really mind any kind of dirt on my hands, but i just can't really get into doing gradients well whether its pencils or charcoal. i guess i'll keep on inking and leave shading to someone else... if anyone wants to have a go at it lol. mechanical leads are fun! i tried sketching with em few times, but they can be very different, the one you have must be a real good one!
nothing wrong with that. it surely beats standard posed pinup arts. :) while browsing for bellydancing I found a few nifty photos of ladies (and actually a cute boy) dong far more than the dancing pose known from medias. :) one involves dancing with a sabre balancing on your head.
