This was one of the last plein air paintings I was able to do back in early 2015 before I got busy with a mentorship I started. But after doing a handful of these studies focused on water, I was starting to develop a process, as well as more questions to unpack going forward. I'm still proud of this study as a culmination of those efforts. Hopefully someday soon I'll be able to afford the time for more outdoor studies!
