One of the six experiments from the C.R.U. laboratory, Tau/Iota is an amalgamation of the wills of two separate dragons: a mated pair, in fact. The extreme process used in the creation of this series of dragon experiments, combined with the unbreakable bond between the two dragons, resulted in both their bodies being torn to nothing during the male's attempted armor application. The energies of both gathered in a hallway between the lab and the holding cells, resulting in a completely non-organic suit of armor with two ethereal controllers.

Normally, this body is controlled by both at once, as they somehow coordinate their efforts to move and act subconsciously. If the need arises, however, each of their limbs may be split into two parts that can be controlled separately.
