So my friend is writing a Naruto Universe Story using elements in the story but without known out Naruto characters. Basically all characters are original outside of tailed beasts. Here is basically his team in such of the story.

Keiji Jakunen
The boy in the far left is Keiji. Keiji is generally a straightforward person who cares a lot about animals and those who he gets close to. His friends matter a lot to him, and he would do anything if it means protecting them. Keiji has no problem with using generally negative means to achieve his own desires, which is why he is totally open to using the Juubi’s chakra. Unfortunately, Keiji is unable to multitask very well, so he can get overwhelmed and frustrated easily.

Yasuo Arai
The boy in the middle is Yasuo. Yasuo is an intelligent and level-headed person. He tries his best to keep his cool and analyze every situation carefully and thoroughly. In combat, he's capable of discovering his opponent’s weaknesses with ease and exploiting them, often leading to quick victories for him. To others, Yasuo comes off as cool and mysterious, as he tries to not get close to anyone. Rumors spread about him and how he managed to learn several impressive techniques before even graduating from the Academy, which added to the “cool and mysterious” impression that others developed about him. Yasuo tries his best to keep his cool, but there are times when his rage can get the better of him. During those times, Yasuo can be difficult to reason with. Yasuo cares about his brother a lot and is sometimes jealous of Akio.

Akio Arai
The boy in the far right is Akio. Akio has gone his whole life living in Yasuo’s shadow. All of their lives, Yasuo was always more skilled and stronger than him. This negatively affected his self esteem. Akio knows that he's weak and believes that he isn't worthy of being on the same team as Keiji and Yasuo. Akio works hard and trains hard in order to become stronger. Akio is a realistic person, much like Yasuo. He chooses to see things as they are, instead of seeing things the way he wants to see them.
