Had fun designing this thing based on a desert eagle. No mag, four rounds spring-fit inside a break barrel. Only holds the four rounds though. I should design the inside too but I'm -lazy-

as described its like a shotgun at the moment. The barrel pivots open allowing the user to insert new shells and remove used ones

That's right! I know it isn't perfect but I always design my stuff to look cool -first- haha. Barrel breaks always look cool!

Even better - build the gun around the cartridge.

To reload, dismantle the gun, remove the used cartridge, and rebuild it around a new one!

Haha, forcing people to maintain their gun, might as well clean it while it's apart... sigh. You could have an automated robot that dismantled, reloaded, cleaned, and assembled the guns on a conveyor belt. :P

That is a good idea! I always go for a break barrel just because I like the visual, but you're right. Something like that would be pretty rad!

Well, yeah. The bigger the bullet, the more likely you are to hit something with it. That's just science, right there.

Makes me think of recoil based revolves like the Fosbery or the Mateba.

Anyway it's a nifty design, any exuse to apply a revolver style to a weapon is a good one in my book ;3

Yeah! I was thinking this gun might be really wide so the bullets could kind of stack in the main chamber there right above the grip. Like a four round magazine is built into the gun.

Honestly doesn't feel like ya get much capacity out of that, I personally vote for Monifa idea of a tube magazine, feels like it be a smoother way to feed rounds while retaining the overall design.
