From a young age, Melody aspired to be a musician. She start singing when she only 7 years old and began playing acoustic at the age of 10. When she was 14, she wrote and recorded her first single.
Immediately after graduating from high school, she went out on her own to try and make a name for herself. At first, most of here gigs were bars and small clubs. Eventually, however, she was also performing at community centers and outdoor venues.
One night at a music festival, after performing as an opening act, her life changed forever. She was cooling off backstage when some shady-looking men approached her. She brushed them off but encountered them again in the rear parking lot. She would have been abducted if another person had not intervened. Her savior was a male Shiba Inu named Kei Shimizu, a visitor from Japan who is also blind. They spent a lot of time talking and Melody found herself thoroughly enjoying his company.
As the days went on, Melody and Kei would meet up more and more. Their friendship grew stronger and they even started falling for each other. However, Kei’s time in New York came to an end and Kei was reluctant to leave her. Valuing love and happiness over career and fame, Melody resolved to go with him to the Ninjutsu complex and start a new life.
Despite initial resistance, the council allowed her to join them after seeing her interact with a group of children. She would go on to marry Kei later that year then birth a son, Masato, 3 years later.
The next 5 years were filled with happiness, but it didn’t last. Melody was struck with an unknown illness, becoming bedridden for several days before passing away.
