Back in mid-June, while I was rooting for Team Spain to make it to the semi-finals of the "2018 FIFA World Cup", I'd decided (at random) to give one of my characters a chance to root for another European team...
In this case, the character is my big-bellied bear 'Bor-Bor', and the team I had him root for was France, in the form of one of my "Front & Back" comic gags - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27713217/ - on the basis that if that country can make sensational (and very fattening) foods, they have the 'crust' to go all the way to the Finals...
Long story short, I'd posted said gag two weeks before said Finals... and, sure enough, Team France not only made it to the Finals, they'd won (beating Team Croatia, 4-2)!
To celebrate, 'Bor-Bor' pigged out on a banquet of French delicacies (too numerous and delicious to mention) - totally overlooking the fact that he had already painted his face blue, white, and red (the colors of the flag of France), and had a soccer ball painted on his forehead. As a result of his repast, 'Bor-Bor' developed puffed cheeks, extra chins and extra rolls. (I know it's a 'cop-out' by not including it, but I'll let you imagine how grotesquely obese his belly became!)
Anyway, for the second time in their history, Team France went all the way at the "World Cup" finals. Congratulations to them!
